One summer I worked as a cashier in an RV park Yellowstone
National Park. This park was situated on
the side of a hill with a climb in elevation of at least two hundred feet from
front to back. The water pressure in the
park had massive swings. In the
evenings, when everyone was home, the pressure was low. During the day when everyone was out and
about, the pressure was at its max.
I sold pressure regulators at the gift shop and always
offer one when someone checked in.
Without fail, every few days the maintenance staff of the campground
would be called to shut of the water at a site because of a burst pipe inside
the rig that did not have a regulator.
In the world of RVing, it's the little things that can make a big difference in your overall experience. A pressure regulator might not be the most glamorous accessory, but it's undoubtedly one of the most valuable ones. By protecting your RV's plumbing, appliances, and your overall comfort, a pressure regulator ensures smooth and worry-free travels. So, before you hit the road on your next adventure, make sure you have this essential tool in your RV toolkit. Your plumbing, appliances, and wallet will thank you.
I recently picked one up at Amazon that has a gauge and
is adjustable. I have used the inline
regulators for years. I was intrigued with
the ability to adjust my water pressure and to see the actual pressure on the gauge.
